This project combines several complementary studies to address key questions in the management of ulnar neuropathy at the elbow (UNE). A systematic review has evaluated the association between ultrasonographic measurements and UNE severity, providing evidence for the role of the cross-sectional area of the ulnar nerve as a diagnostic marker. Moreover, we evaluated current preferences in surgical treatment and follow-up procedures by conducting a nationwide survey study among Dutch surgeons. Ongoing research focuses on the prevalence of anatomical variations detected by preoperative ultrasonography, their correlation with intraoperative findings, and their impact on surgical outcomes.
