About the study

The PRISM-N study (Platelet-Rich Plasma vs. Injection of Steroids for Morton’s Neuroma) investigates the comparative effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) versus corticosteroid injections in patients with Morton’s neuroma. The trial evaluates whether PRP, as a regenerative therapy, offers superior or more durable pain relief and functional improvement compared to conventional steroid treatment. Outcomes are assessed through patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs), ultrasound imaging, and clinical follow-up, with the goal of establishing evidence-based guidance for minimally invasive management of Morton’s neuroma.
