The BEACON study (Biomarkers Evaluated in Arthritic Conditions for Outcome-based Navigation) aims to identify biomarkers that can predict treatment response in patients with osteoarthritis receiving platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. Biomarkers are collected from synovial fluid, blood and PRP samples and subsequently analyzed using proteomics-based approaches. The goal is to distinguish good responders from poor responders, enabling a more personalized and outcome-driven application of PRP in the management of osteoarthritis.
