Hand surgery
Hand surgery is a broad subspecialty in plastic surgery that has wide practice variations. This is partially caused by the rare nature of some disorders or the diverse presentation of others. There is a need for more and better research in order to optimize treatment strategies. Hence in Utrecht we are involved in research seeking to improve the treatment of trigger fingers and thumb base osteoarthritis.
