This year marks a milestone for the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UMC Utrecht as it celebrates its 75th anniversary—a testament to its long-standing tradition of surgical expertise and innovation in the field. To commemorate this momentous lustrum, a celebration and symposium are set to take place on September 1st at the Academy Building of the University of Utrecht.
The anniversary celebrations are a tribute to the generations of surgeons, researchers, and healthcare professionals who have dedicated themselves to the craft and science of plastic and reconstructive surgery. It is also an acknowledgment to the collaborations throughout the years, including collaborations with departments within our own hospital, but also national and international collaborations.
As the department reflects on its past and looks toward the future, it invites colleagues, alumni, partners, and friends to join in the celebration. This event is an opportunity to reunite with old colleagues, forge new connections, and ignite conversations that will shape the future of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
For more information about the celebration, the symposium, or to express interest in attending, interested parties are encouraged to reach out via email at plastische-chirurgie@umcutrecht.nl. UMC Utrecht is excited to welcome those who wish to be a part of this historic day.
